Yes, It is true you have registered your real estate oufit with CAC but do you know that without a proper registration, estate agencies will remain largely unregulated? The business circle is so unregulated that it doesn't matter whether you are registered with CAC or not!

Do you wonder why LASG couldn't register 600 agents in Lagos State? It is because there has been no recognition for the estate agency profession as a mother-profession in real estate.

Come October 1st, THE INITIATIVE will be releasing the long awaited REAL ESTATE AGENT REGISTRATION APPLICATION forms via this forum for a nationwide subscription.

Successful applicants will be qualified to register to become Rated Agents* and also for a free 1year membership with the Real Estate Exchangers and Agents Initiative .

Part of the eligibility conditions for application is to pledge to our code of ethical practice and professional conduct document alongside the applications.

Our effort on agents registration is because our professional status as estate agents is maintained and enriched by our willingness to accept and fulfill obligations to our society, other contemporaries and the profession itself.

We will agree to refuse to participate in unethical procedures and assume the responsibility to expose incompetence or unethical practice of any estate agent to the INITIATIVE in a proper and professional manner.

We will also NOT permit considerations of race, gender, nationality, religion or social status to influence our professional behavior or advice.
